To the Commander of the Army of the Cumberland:

General sir,

Permission to rejoin the ranks. Any post will be fine. Can ably lead infantry, cavalry or artillery in headlong retreats and routs. Since my sense of direction is missing you can point me in any direction to route in. Very effective tactic which confuses the enemy, and the troops finds very entertaining, or is that the other way 'round. [;)]

In my time as a Union commander, I have learned that the three "Rs" of wargaming are: rout, rally, retreat. (Not always in that order though)
