I'm starting a Corinth campaign and the first scenario says that I must destroy supplies before the rebs get them. But if I use my cannon to destroy the fixed wagons, won't the lost supplies score against me? the same wagons will release after a while but the Rebs are sure to be here. What you should do is give in to the inevitable, by using friendly fire to shoot your own men.....Leave all the supplies for the good guys....eeeerrr Rebs.....Follow these steps and it will make for the very best possible outcome..... BG Hank Smith Army of Georgia Smith's Corp Commanding |

Drex, Is there an exit hex? If so move the supplies off through them. The scenario description may be just that, a description. It gives an overall of what was (may have been) happening historically. Our supply wagons are the method for small arms ammo resupply. Scenario designers can use them to help balance a scenario, or give one side a dilema. It sounds like you have to decide if you need to stick around and defend the supply base (wagons), or leave, or try to leave with them. Good luck! Yes there is an exit hex> If I leave now I can make it except for the wagons which are fixed for now. However the orders are to destroy the supplies and leave. In reality, the commander would be court-martialed for leaving the supplies. I would think that at least the supply destruction wouldn't count against me. I was wondering how others played it. Let me know at the Winchester Arms. MG Drex Ringbloom, Cdr, 2nd Div "Corcoran's Legion", VIII Corps Army of the Shenandoah ![]() |

If this is the case of Col. Robert Murphy, when the Confederates under Gen. Price advanced into Iuka, then he was indeed relieved and courtmartialed by Grant. He did set fire to the supplies and retreat, but the Confederates retrieved most of the supplies. Thus, if you follow the historical example, it really doesn't make a difference whether you destroy them or not. The Confederates will get them anyway. Lt. That would make sense then but its still confusing to allow you the option to destroy them in place/ MG Drex Ringbloom, Cdr, 2nd Div "Corcoran's Legion", VIII Corps Army of the Shenandoah ![]() |
