Gentlemen, I have a question concerning exit hexes. I have captured my opponents exit hex which has a notation of 0 pts. Does this mean if I exit my units I will get 0 VP's? If so what is the purpose of the exit hex? Yours confused, Brig. Gen. Tom Moore CSA 5th(Moore's Tenn. Brig.) 2nd Div.,I Corp Army of the Mississippi |

I assume you mean that you have reached your exit hex on his side of the board. It is now simple. Remove your units from the map at this hex. The 0 VP's symbol will then change to 10 or 23 or whatever with points being given for each unit that you remove. I am not sure how the game decides how many points to give for each unit (perhaps one of our more veteran players does). Begin to exit your men now if you wish to start receiving the points. If the enemy arrives and recaptures the hex it will not matter as the VPs are "in the bank." Col. Blake L. Strickler Army of the Mississippi Chief of Staff 6th Bd/4th Div/IV Corps ![]() |

If it is the exit hex of your opponent, you do not get ANYTHING by exiting YOUR units. You only get points if you have an exit hex. The zero points showing simply means that your opponent has not exited any troops. Generally, you should NOT exit your troops off the map, without it being your exit hex. <b><font color="gold">Ernie Sands, General 4th Brigade, Cavalry Division, XIV Corps, Army of Cumberland, USA ![]() ![]() ACWGC Records Site Administrator </b></font id="gold"> |

I think the exit hex awards points using the same point basis as that for casualties. For most games, that would be 10 pts for 25 inf, 20 pts for 25 cav, and 30 pts per gun. Someone correct me if I am wrong. MG Mike Mihalik 2/4/I/AoMiss/CSA |
