Out of idle curiosity - has anyone spoken to Roger since he departed? I hope all is well with him and I am also hoping, probably without reason to, that he will show up with his sword soon and rejoin us. Just wondering... Respectfully, Col. Blake Strickler Commandant of VMI ![]() Army of the Mississippi Chief of Staff ![]() |

When Roger disappeared, I tracked down his wife's work email address. I sent her two emails stating concern for his welfare. I know she read both emails but didn't respond to either one. Within an hour of the second email, Roger posted his resignation with the club. I took this as a clear indication that he no longer wished contact with this club. I just wish I knew what happened to him. MG Jon Hooper 3rd/3rd/I Corps/AotM |

Sounds like a personal matter and we should leave well enough alone. He has left the club before so perhaps he will come back. Maj.Gen. Drex Ringbloom, AotS Chief-of -Staff, 2nd Division Cmdr, "Corcoran's Legion", VIII Corps Army of the Shenandoah ![]() |

Ironically, Roger was leading the CSA side of the El Deguello tournament at the time of his resignation. He had scored over 11,000 VPs after 4 battles and would have been one of the top seeds going into the elimination rounds. ![]() [img]<font size="3">Brigadier General Prax Swan, AoG CoR Officer Commanding 4/I AoG CSA The War Horse Division </font id="size3"> |

Colonel Strickler <salute> General Ringbloom is probably correct in that we should leave well enough alone. I do continue to hope that someone may get word from him someday just to know he is well, regardless of whether he is with the club or not. Col Neal Hebert 2nd Division, I Corps, AotM Deputy Commandant, VMI ![]() |

<font face="Book Antiqua"><font size="4"><font color="beige">Gents, I believe that whatever has taken place that it is the end of it for now? (What the heck did I just say?) Drex is correct, we need to leave well enough alone, Roger has made his decision for whatever reasons. The lesson here is very clear to me. Membership and Friendship in this Club is a very special thing, treat it with the respect that it is due. In my over 5 years in the Club I have seen many a good fellow member and Friend depart in various abrupt ways. I miss them greatly as each bring something most special to the Club, their unique selves! I would wish that they all could rejoin us sometime in the future! Here are just some of those that are special to me: Ghislain Krgyier, my first Division Commander from AoA, Jon Cuneo, my first Corps Commander and mentor Jeff Gray, my first Army Commander of AoA Dan Smith, my second cadet to train, became my Deputy Commandant at VMI, redid the current format for the website, was a US Army NCO who served and was wounded in Iraq Don Adams, was the creator of the DoR, assisted me in so many projects Roger Hulinsky, took the bull by the horns and rode hard, Waylon Hughes Jr., a retired cop, was Commandant at VMI Best Regards,</font id="beige"></font id="size4"></font id="Book Antiqua"> <font color="limegreen"><font size="4">Gen Nick Kunz ![]() Commanding Army of Georgia 'Nulli Secundus'</font id="limegreen"><font color="orange"> Instructor Vicksburg Military Institute</font id="orange"></font id="size4"> |

Well-spoken Nick. Waylon spent three hours on the phone with me when I was a Cadet playing a training battle as we chatted. He was a great Commandant and I hope he returns to take his job back. I would willingly give it without a word of protest. Roger I knew briefly but he immediately befriended me and hooked me up with a number of great guys in the AotM. Respectfully, Col.
