Apparently all of the former posts from the old forum back to 2004 have been brought forward. But I still can't figure out how to effectively search for an item or individual. What am I missing? |

What am I missing? Try using the ADVANCED search function, on the top right. Check the forums you ant searched and what you want to search, like topics or topics and body. |

OK, I tried to carefully read and experiment with everything, but the program only seems to return hits from the time this forum came on line. Can't seem to get anything previous to that date. I also tried to make what should have been a big hit search by typing in "+Gettysburg" and then highlighting the "Mason Dixon Tavern," checking off both "post and text," but got nothing in return. But at least we've got a lot of information sitting in there, because you can scan back to page 79! |

I get only search results hat go back ONE MONTH. IK did a search for "general" and got several responses, but none earlier than 8/1/10. |

Full searching should be working now. |

I've just given the search engine a cursory test and am pleased to say that it is functional and very quickly so! This particular accomplishment in the forum transition is extremely satisfying, and I cannot state how important it was/is to the continued good operation of the ACWGC. I should be the first to recommend to the Cabinet that those individual club members who have exercised such talented skill on such short notice be publically congratulated and rewarded for their contributions. A simply fantastic and amazing piece of work! I salute you! |
