I have just got a laptop and it has windows 7 on it. A campaign was started by my opponent and he sent me the first turn which was Perrville I made my choice and saved and sent it back where he then sent the next turn to me. Now I cant open the game.
Any ideas?

First, did you set the games up as suggested BY HPS? It applies to both Vista and WIN7.

Also, make sure you are both using the same version. Did you upgrade to the latest one?

Both players should delete any .XXX and . YYY files.

This is crazy some games are working through the compatibility program some without and some not at all so far.

All HPS.

Generally speaking, if one HPS game works, in WIN7, they all should work.

I have many HPS games and all work without compatibility mode, in WIN7.

You have not said whether or not you are using the advice on the HPS site for WIN7 installs. I know the site is down, but the gist of their advice is NOT to use the built in path, but to use something like X:/games/Campaign Atlanta.
