http://www.hmdb.org/ This is a great site to use when traveling. It shows where Historical Markers are along various routes and allows you to plan on stopping, instead of your having to try to read as you drive by! It has over 8000, yes OVER 8000 American Civil War markers. In addition, to the thousands of markers for other wars, battlefields and significant events (and maybe some not so significant). It is well worth it to add this to your travel planning. |
