(PS-in regard to the excellent posts about our gaming niche, I wonder if we mounted an offensive on Facebook, if we would get more recruits. There are 700 million users, so if .001 percent of them joined, that would add 7,000 to the group-700 would be a welcome addition, right? We would only need .0001 (I think my math is right))

The FB suggestion is interesting - it would certainly keep our Training Academies busy! I would support any attempts to recruit and think it is worth pursuing. We do have a FB presence but I don't know if it has generated any interest from outside. Maybe Gen Strickler will know.

Facebook is a wonderful way to advertise but it requires some money. I continue to hope Ernie will write a check for the whole amount but he has yet to do so :wink:

Any advertising would have to be done on Facebook by a Club Member using private funds. The Facebook Group for our Club seems to be only visited and used rarely by just those already in the Club. Advertising places our Club info and link on Facebook user pages that have the ACW and Gaming as listed hobbies. When last checked this would put our link on a possible 600,000 or so user pages.

Perhaps if we had a Club Bake sale to raise money? I understand many of the Yanks spend a great deal of time hiding behind their mother's aprons so they must have picked up a few things about baking in the process.
