After all these long years of gaming I just tonight suddenly realise how much of a difficult relationship I have with the in-game Toolbar. It's the buttons ...I just feel they could be bigger. I try to play with the most efficient combination of mouse & Hot-key controls that I can but clicking on the necessary toolbar button does seem to require deliberate precision to pick out ...rather than the smooth flowing selection that some other programs feature ...or am I imagining it? Like they're just a tiny bit too small for comfort. It's a minor gripe with the ACW series but there's a real sticking point with the Panzer Campaigns: The next turn button is right next to the change formation button and I've had a couple of mishaps recently. Very frustrating when big turns take hours to play and accidently advancing the turn overwrites the saved file! I haven't seen any points raised about the user interface in the past. Has anyone else got an opinion on it? I know quite a few of the members here have less than perfect vision. I fear the toolbar is a coded feature and can't be adjusted to any degree by the user? |

Maybe it is my eyesight. ![]() |

D'oh! please excuse me. My opponent has just pointed out that the "ask before advancing turn" option in the settings menu offers a perfectly adequate safeguard against the problem I mentioned. I really have been playing long enough to be aware of that one already! I stand by my observations about finding the toolbar buttons rather too small for comfort though. |
