Has anyone ever experimented with trying to balance scenarios by adjusting the slider at the beginning of a battle that affects how many casualties a particular side deals? Does it seem to work fairly well, or is it not worth the trouble of trying to find the 'right' level? |

I've never tried it, except maybe when playing the AI. An interesting thought, however. I'm interested to see if anyone has ever tried this as well. |

I've never tried it but if any Yanks would like to spot me a 20% advantage I would be happy to try it out ![]() |

The HELP file doesn't give much info: A/I Selection: "The slider under the A/I settings is used to establish the Advantage for the new battle." Under the AI menu: "Select Set Advantage to display the Advantage Dialog so that the Advantage value for the current battle can be viewed and possibly modified." Advantage Dialog: "Moving the slider to one side or the other gives that side a better Advantage value for the current battle. Note that Advantage values cannot be changed after the battle has started in two-player games." |

Has anyone adjusted the slider and not told his opponent? We never check these things. I could swear that all my opponents who beat me (and there have been many) have used this ploy.. ![]() |

Once my brother slid the slider all the way over in a battle with his oldest son. Took a while for him to figure out something was wrong. Every time his men fired there were no casualties. ![]() Beware the slider's affects are vary sensitive. Just a small change unless they upgraded it had a big effect. |

You can ALWAYS check the position in the AI MENU: Set Advantage, after the game has started. |
