General Joseph Meyer will be coming to the end of his second term as USA CoA and as per club rules he can not hold a third consecutive term.

I want to thank General Meyer for his exemplary service as USA CoA these past four years, having worked with him first as a Cabinet Secretary and now as President it has been my experience that his commitment to the ACWGC as a whole and the USA side of the club has been untiring.

In accordance with club rules;

We will have a one week (7 days) nomination period, a two week campaigning period and a one week election period.

Nominations will begin this Monday 01/05/2015 to Sunday 01/11/2015.

Myself, CSA CoA Scott Ludwig and USA Secretary Gen. Riggs will serve on the election committee.
(Due to Gen. Riggs nomination, Gen. Mark Nelms will replace him on the election committee.)

To be eligible for the CoA position, a member must hold the rank of Lieutenant General or above in their respective Army.

Nominations for the CoA may be made by any regular officer subject to the restrictions listed below.

Candidates must be nominated by two other members before being placed on the ballot. Nominating officers must be from the same military group as the candidate being nominated.

Nominations are to be submitted to the entire Cabinet. Nominations must include a statement that the member nominated agrees to serve, if elected. Verification of nominations will be by using the email address the nominator uses to submit the nomination. The email address that the nominator uses must be the email address of record in the Department of Records. The Election Committee will attempt to contact, via email, any nominator whose email address is different than the Department of Records in order for that member to have to opportunity to correct the address held in the Department of Records. Any addresses not corrected by the end of the nomination period will not be valid and that nomination will be disregarded.

Gentlemen,

As we have had no other nominations for the position, General Derald Riggs wins by acclamation and will become the new
Union Chief of the Armies to become effective January 15th 2015 to serve a 2 year term ending on January 14th 2017.

Please join me in Congratulating General Riggs, as the weather has been quite unpleasant in Washington this week there will be an impromptu open bar and buffet in the rotunda of the of the Cabinet building to which all officers and gentlemen of the ACWGC are invited.

With Derald moving to the CoA spot we are in need of a interim USA Cabinet Secretary, any USA officer interested please contact my HQ.

Congrats Derald! I look forward to continuing to work with you! :D

Joe - you did an outstanding job since November of 2010! I don't think the Union would look the way it does today without your leadership for all these years. You've left a mighty mark and made a huge difference! Thanks for your service! :)

Yes indeed, mighty delinquent of me not to mention the outgoing Union CoA, General Joseph Meyer who has guided the Union side of the club these past 4 plus years with a steady and measured hand. Joe came into the position as an interim and was then elected twice, serving under three Cabinet Presidents, always a Gentlemen and voice of reason in any deliberation. General Meyer not one to rest on his laurels will still be working hard for the Union cause as he continues to command the Army of the Shenandoah.

So raise your glass and three cheers for General Meyer!

Huzzah!

Huzzah!

Huzzah!
