In the search for a new commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, I received and reviewed several excellent candidates. It gives me great pleasure to announce I have selected General Blake Strickler to serve as the new Army Commander of the Army of Northern Virginia. Now that the formalities are over, the party is over at the Clump of Trees forum. The first round is on me! |

Gentlemen, I thank you all for the best wishes and the photographs. I miss the days when I had a full head of hair like that. No flowery speeches from me. I leave that to the Yanks. Suffice to say I expect the fall of Washington any day now. |
