Post subject:  Civil War Collectible Trading Cards - 1961
These Topps 1961 - 1962 Collectible Civil War cards are pretty epic in every way. Very colorful, brutally violent, and pretty fanciful and inappropriate. Not to mention about as historically accurate as a Hollywood movie.

And, yet, I'd love to collect the whole set. :mrgreen:

Someone here has to have collected these cards back when they were kids. You can pick them up on Ebay still.

Don't remember the cards, but do remember the comic strip "Old Glory at the Crossroads" in the Sunday paper every week.

Hi - I am in the UK and obsessively collected these cards when they came out. As a result I have one complete set in good condition and one partial set with a few missing. I think those 'romanticised' images are what pushed an impressionable young boy into becoming a lifelong Civil War buff !
