Officers of the ACWGC: I am Jim Boling, the new President of the ACWGC. As I begin my term of office, I wish to say to each of you that I intend to execute my duties in a FIRM, FAIR, and FRIENDLY manner ... a leadership style that I successfully employed during my 34-year US Army career. FIRM -- in adherence to the club rules and to our expectations of officer behavior and decorum. FAIR -- in applying balanced judgement to all Cabinet matters, favoring neither military group, and guided only by what is right and best for our club. FRIENDLY -- in exemplifying an even tempered and approachable demeanor in my dealings with every officer. Additionally, I am committed to transparency in the governance of our club and will update you from time to time on matters begin considered by the Cabinet. Lastly, I want to say that our club is only as good as you, the members, choose to make it. So I encourage you, as you are able, to volunteer for leadership positions within the club or within your own military group. Ask your chain of command what is needed and see if you can contribute to our club. I look forward to serving you and the ACWGC. Best wishes and Best of Luck to each of you in every game! |
