Cool, do you have a specific scn? Mine is the 1st day scn. I like meeting engagements.

I am unable to decide between two scenarios:
Shenandoah 041 Good's Farm; and
Chickamauga (historical and full battle variants).

I have played both those battles on numerous occasions (Good's Farm [9 times, played both sides], Chickamaugas [currently playing #7]. They have played out differently each and every time which, to me, is what makes a good scenario.

Possibly Atlanta #61-Kennesaw Chase June 20

It has a large map with plenty of objectives, plenty of time, and limited artillery ammunition for both sides. Also both armies are balanced.

Really enjoyed playing this one from both sides.

002 from Chancellorsville has so much replay value.

007 from Gettysburg is probably my favourite though. There's something about that little crossroads town in Pennsylvania - it keeps drawing you back.

Gents <Salute>

For me, WDS Chickamauga historical #8 scenario, the full two day battle is my favorite. I don't think I have ever lost playing the Confederates in either one-on-one or multi-player matchups. One reason it is dear to me, is that I live just 30 minutes away, and have frequented the battlefield dozens and dozens of times. I know it fairly well, having walked its fields and woods visiting all 1100 plus monuments, markers, and tablets multiple times over the years since childhood.

During grade-school years I would ride my bike down to Ringgold, Georgia and visit the old Stone Church, the site of Catoosa Station where Hood's boys de-trained after their long and arduous trip from Richmond via Atlanta, and the old RR depot still standing, still pocked with battle scars from the Civil War. Mom & Dad took us kids to the park on a regular basis, for picnics, bike rides, re-enactments, history tours, and so on. My brother, as symphony concertmaster, used to play pops in the park with the Chattanooga Orchestra every July 4th weekend. My paternal grandfather, (1892 - 1977) received his army basic training at Ft. Oglethorpe in 1915 and during those training weeks as a matter of regimen, he marched all over the park as the army training center was adjacent to the national battlefield. Finally, I have kin that fought there during those three tumultuous days in 1863.

All this to say, I take special interest in playing this one as I know the ground, I know the commanders, and I know what they found out all too well, that the dark North Georgia woods of Chickamauga is a hell of a place to fight a big battle.

Cool,

I myself live only a bit further away. About 90 minutes. I generally go 1-2 times a year. Only one thing, the 2-day historical scenario is #039, not #8, which is Perryville.
