Hello,
I'm returning to the fold after taking a couple months off to clear my head. What can anybody tell me about the current Game of the Week? I honestly don't remember ever playing a game on this battle aside from the SPI folio game years ago. What are your opinions on this title?

Welcome back!

There is a detailed description that comes with the WDS posting. What else do you need to know? Or are you just looking for opinions? My opinion would be biased.

A biased opinion is better than none at all! Is there much in the way of a campaign tree or is it pretty much following historical decisions? Is it reasonably balanced? I know that'd be difficult to do given the numbers involved. I see 'what if' battles advertised. How are they? I'm a sucker for alternate history.

There are 4 campaigns to choose and each has a weather version. So, you can play with or without weather. A couple are historical only and a couple have alternative histories.
I always tell people that the main thing you need, before you buy, is an interest in the battles. If you want to play Fredericksburg and or Chancellorsville, plus many smaller battles, then this title will satisfy that itch. BTW, the last day of the sale is tomorrow 1/11/26.
