It's been mentioned on the board here, but no, it isn't in the ACW games yet. Which leads to another (related) question- if I destroy a bridge early in a campaign (say, Corinth), is it destroyed if we fight on the same map later on? Peninsula has engineer units, but they are really just infantry as far as the game is concerned. As for destroyed bridges, I haven't seen any campaigns where they stayed destroyed. BGen, 2/XIX/AoS |

In Corinth, there is usually enough time between situations where you fight on the same map that the bridges are considered rebuilt (they are cheap wooden structures spanning narrow waterways so this isn't unreasonable). So I guess the short answer is no.
quote:
Originally posted by Sean Turner Which leads to another (related) question- if I destroy a bridge early in a campaign (say, Corinth), is it destroyed if we fight on the same map later on? Engineers in the ACW engine would be most welcome! It would also be worthwhile if there were a fix so that bridges aren't hard to destroy yet incredibly easy to repair. At the moment (in the Nappy engine of course), they only need to be repaired to 1 strength point to be useable without any risk of collapse - even for guns. Col. Rich White 3 Brig. On a related note, I assume that if in a given Campaign Peninsula scenario a bridge has a "0" (zero) rating, that it is unusable? Regards, Major Alan Lynn 3rd Battery "Jacksonville Greys" 4th Div, II Corps, AoA God bless <>< |
