Post subject:  Officer Losses in Campaign Games

Admittedly a detail I haven't paid close attention to, but how are officer casualties -- kills wounded, captures - treated in campaign games with regard to what happens if the officer's unit is to show up in a subseqent scenario?

If officers do comeback, does there basic leadership/command rating get reduced?

Officers do not return. The chain of command is followed for current and future games.

While playing a Campaign Gettysburg, our big battle didn't occur until the 7th or 8th scenario. For the big battle, all losses (infantry, cavalry, leaders, but don't know about artillery) were recouped and are available for the big battle. It scared the beedoodly out of me the first time that I saw that pale white and chalky looking W.H.F. Lee across the battlefield from me with that 10 pounder artillery shell still sticking out of his left ear.
