Gentlemen,

(Am I dreaming, or is there a song on one of the games with this chorus?)

I'm leaving shortly to a rendevouz at Corinth tomorrow evening with some fellow club members, for a tour of the Shiloh battlefield on Saturday. (Actually, I'm going to reconnoiter the field in anticipation of my forces and Captain Meuleveld's eventually meeting there -- I won a Minor Victory at Belmont and our forces are trying to find each other at Mill Springs as we speak!)

General Chris Cross, CSA Chief of Staff, is authorized to act on my behalf until I return. (I've told him I plan to be back 'by next Thursday -- LATE!'. I really expect to be back Monday evening, but that should keep him on his toes. And maybe this way I'll find out what's been happening to my liquor cabinet while I've been away [:)] !)

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

General Moose Suh,

Here's the bag of new yankee twenty dollar gold pieces to give to General Cross (bribe) [:)] for the key to General Mallory's liquor cabinet, hope there's enough gold in the bag. Thing weighs about two pounds.

Respectfully,
