Post subject:  Richard S. Ewell Medal for General Cross

Fellow officers:

I have received word today from General Cross that real life duties are forcing him to step down from his club activities. General Cross has served as my right-hand man ever since I assumed the role of Chief of the Armies, CSA. From the beginning, he has served faithfully as CSA Chief of Staff. Later, he took on the additional role of Western Theater commander, CSA. He has selfishly performed every task I have asked of him. What glory can be ascribed to the Chief of the Armies is due entirely to his tireless behind-the-scenes efforts.

He took on the role of reminding me when it was time to issue medals, even my own. One medal he neglected to remind me of, however, was his own Richard S. Ewell Medal of Service. He had previously earned one of these and he has more than earned another for the assistance he has provided to me.

With that, I hereby award Lieutenant General Chris Cross his Second Richard S. Ewell Medal of Service, my undying gratitude for a job well done, and my thanks for his personal friendship.

Until we meet again, sir!

<salute>

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.

Good luck and farewell General Cross and congrats on the award Suh.

As for that drinking problem, I think it is a General thing. What with Generals Mallory and Laub being found drunk and passed out in a ditch at Shiloh.[:p] Then General Laub gone missing for two weeks only to find out he was on a cruise with the Swedish Bikini Team.[:0] Whats this army coming too.
