Without reinforcements the union flanks were doomed now to collapse. The fight for Cemetery Hill was going well, rebel units inching forward against ever-tiring union regiments. The arrival of a fresh division would push the union off of the hill, perhaps routing them all the way to Washington.... > Cela > > Cutlers Brigade was all but gone along with the 76th > New York, During the night most had just wandered > off.
