Post subject: | Rebel Team needed for HPS Gettysburg |
Gentlemen of the South, Finding myself with some spare time after stepping down as commander of the AoS, a couple of AoS colonels, Col Rusty Hodgkiss and Col Pat Thompson have prevailed upon me to lead them against a team of rebel officers in an HPS Gettysburg Campaign. We propose starting the campaign at the June 15th branch to avoid the smaller actions of Brandy Station and Winchester. We request the use of one House Rule for the ensuing battles: No Infantry Column attacks except at fords, bridges and from the first hex when you've crossed these, to keep the opponent from sitting back one hex from the crossing. We would prefer to use the following optional rules VP's for Leader Density Fire Modifier Night Movement Fatigue Mounted Cavalry Skirmishers Higher Disrupted Movement Weak ZOC Partial Retreats ADF Flank Morale Modifier Full Melee Defensive Fire Bridge Limit & Repair Artillery Capture Artillery Retire by Prolongue If you so desire we are willing to use Quality Melee Modifiers Higher Fatigue Recovery Rout Limiting Interested rebel officers can form their team and contact me at my headquarters or post their comments on our proposal here. I don't believe I've had the privilige of meeting Gen Turner or Gen Burns. Gen Vannada and I crossed swords when he was still a lowly Fld Lt and I had the privilige of meeting him and his lovely wife last year. Col Hodgkiss apparrently has also met him. If you three southern gentlemen will discuss how you want to handle command and the initial options we've noted between yourselves you can then decide who will be in command and have him contact me by email. You can send a message from the forum to get in touch with me and we can discuss any additional rules you would like then get the armies on the move. Gen. Ken Miller 1/2/VI ![]() |
