..fresh from the VMI, in a clean, well cut uniform with glittering insignias and epaulettes... fresh meat for any junior US officer of about equal rank, daring to meet him on the field of battle.[:p] Or maybe there are no daring junior officers of the North out there? Is it true what is rumoured in the Southern taverns that the younger US officers rather stay behind and drink whiskey instead of seeking battle?[:D] Dear officers of the North, may I propose a battle of small to medium size (division to corps) as I am completely new to PBEM, but have severeal years of board gaming experience (Gamers, SPI, GDW, AH etc). General Sands, Sir! It is a great honour for just a low Field Lieutenant to receive a response from such an experienced and distinguished officer of the USA! Of course I will accept this first reply to my very first post in this forum and I look forward to meeting you on the field of battle![:p] My company of sharpshooters will of course look for any officers in a general's uniform, so be warned, Sir![;)] You will receive my first moves around Gettysburg as the fog lifts tomorrow!
