As I mentioned in another similar thread, my first choices for BG would be Gettysburg (most popular and most played) and Bull Run (used a lot for add-on maps, and two great games in itself). Antietam is not much fun for the Rebs, and Shiloh not for the Federals. Chick, well you get two for the price of one (Stones River and Chickamauga). Gen. Walter, USA AoS Commandant, Union Army War College |

Corey, If you want to get a feel for what the BG games are like, play a game in the HPS in phased play. It's not exactly the same, but it's pretty close. I like Franklin, though the battle of Franklin itself seems to skew a tad Reb (or I just stink ;p). The campaign I'm in has been fun so far. Col. Gary McClellan 1st Division, XXIII Corps AoO,USA |

Gary, If thats true of the Battle of Franklin I must suck as Ernie is whipping me pretty good there ![]() Deo Vindice Brig Gen. Mike Smith 3/3/ANV "Charles Dickens, 1862--- "The Northern onslaught upon slavery was no more than a piece of specious humbug designed to conceal its desire for economic control of the Southern states." Thomas Jefferson--- "I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people (10th Amendment). To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition." |
