Post subject:  Reb Sought: Corinth Campaign

I've had the Corinth disk for awhile, but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Now is the time. I would like to battle a Reb who---like myself---has yet to experience this campaign. Additionally, I would like to play an opponent I have not faced before.

Lt. Colonel McBride Sir:

I have fought this campaign when the game was an innovation, I lost the campaign and really I do not remember anything.
I have to install the game again.
We can begin on Tuesday of next week. I can play 3-6 turns per week.
If you are prepared and interested...

I am still available for a Corinth campaign. I had meant to mention above that---besides wanting to battle someone who had not previously played a Corinth campaign, that I have less than a year's experience, and am not ready to engage greatly experienced veterans . . . the kind of veterans who have been chewing me up with glee all too frequently. I admit I am not quite ready for those players yet (but I hope to be before too much longer).

So, the challenge of a Corinth campaign is still open.

Lt Col Dwight McBride

P.S. General de Mere: I have sent you a private message.

I am sorry, but I am looking for a complete campaign, so I must refuse your generous offer.

I suspect, gentlemen, that I'm being rather "picky" . . . Still looking for a complete campaign of Corinth, against someone who has not played that campaign yet, and not against a grind'em-up-and-spit'em-out long-time veteran.

So I'm still available. I'll stand over here in the corner and continue waiting.

Col. McBride,

I slipped into this meeting room to search for an opponent but, seeing your post, I thought one was already waiting for me!

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I don't meet your qualifications this time. I've played several Corinth campaigns so far, and I have enough experience with all the games you'd probably find your hands full. Not that I've won all my games, far from it, but I have been around the block a few times.

Good luck on your search. So far Corinth is my favorite of the HPS games, but that may only be due to the fact I've played it several times. Once you get that experience you're looking for under your belt, look me up.

Challenge for a Corinth campaign still open. Just bumping this thread back to the top of the list so it may yet be accepted by some Rebel . . . maybe even one of the loud-mouthed newbies I've seen hanging around here lately.[:D]
