I will play either side. Have no idea what the balance is on this scenario. I think it was originally developed for tournament play but that doesn't mean it is balanced.

For those who don't have a copy the "Surprise at Dawn VarII" scenario:
It starts on June 30th with Rebel IV Corps (D. H. Hill) coming in from the west on the large Gettysburg map (extends down to below Emmitsburg).
It is 256 turns long. Which means it could go five days. But I don't think that is common. But it does require quick turnaround times, so you do need to be able to get off a turn about every day most of the time.
Forces are closer to equal than regular Gettysburg since D.H. Hill's Corps is added to the Rebel side and 8th Corps is added to the Union side. The armies for both side are pretty large.
There are a lot of VP hexes but for the most part only a couple around Gettysburg are large enough value to matter.
Because of the size of the map and length of the game, it is wide open for maneuver.

Generally, I play with all optional rules but:
Manual Defensive Fire Off - since everyone seems to like the Opportunity Defensive Fire.
Artillery Capture Off - because it doesn't work very well.
Limited Artillery Limber Off - because it may have unforeseen effect on a scenarios balance.
Extreme Fog of War Off - because it is a pain to use.

If interested and don't have this scenario, I can send you a copy.
