Hello everyone, I'm looking for a Yankee opponent, beginner level like myself, for a medium-sized battle if possible. I'd like to try Bull Run; otherwise, I also own Gettysburg, Peninsula, and Shiloh. Thanks in advance. |

I am a new player (USA Class of 12-2025), but I'm looking for smaller scenarios to start out. Plus I’m interested in tracing Grant’s career through the Civil War, so would you have any interest in the scenario "003a Bel_Belmont_Advance (Alter OB).scn” on the Battle of Belmont (Nov 7 1861)? It’s on Campaign Shiloh- smallish map, less than 50 units/side, 18 turns. The Alternate OOB means each regiment is split into 2 to allow for more coverage, from the description “(Historical) This scenario uses the "Alternate" Belmont OOB. This will provide additional units. Each Historical unit has been halved, and are represented by A or B. Some Abatis has been removed and breastworks added.”. |

Marc Garcia wrote: Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. Could you tell me which book your battle scene is from? I can't seem to find it. Thanks The WDS version (4.05.5 the latest version) of Campaign Shiloh. From the File Menu->Selection you should get the File Selection Dialog. Set Status=New (top left) Mode=Normal (top middle) and in the Files drop down on the top right you should find "003a Bel_Belmont_Advance (Alter OB).scn" with title=Battle of Belmont, November 7, 1861 Turns-=18, Designer=Richard Walker and Desciption="(Historical) This scenario uses the "Atlernate" Belmont OOB. This will provide additional units. Each Historical unit has been halved, and are represented by A or B. Some Abatis has been removed and breastworks added.". Sorry, in my prior post i had it as an sce file (post now corrected). It's an scn file as in "003a Bel_Belmont_Advance (Alter OB).scn" NOT the "003a Bel_Belmont_Advance (Alter OB).sce" from my prior post. |
