Post subject:  Automated defensive fire option

ust started my first game using this.. A little late, I know:)

I fould 1776 option ADF a good idea and a refreshing thing instead of old BG ADF; get things more realistic, firing on enemy in phase of his closing and posibilities of regulate fire range..

However...

- Don't find realisic and/or historical that defender units can shoot endless time during enemy players turn. A unit can fire (I proved myself this every time it is started to being meleed, although later "clear melee option is used)

- Units are firing back twice on one fire attack???

- Unit attacked from back is firing back too???

- Unit in coloumn is firing back?????

The painfull truth is, I fired 5 times and move some hexes forward and the enemy fired back 25 times. This isn't nor realisitc nor fair. (put beside unit can load their rifles in 1 minute)

Other bugs (?) that are calling for an upgrade too:

- you cannot melee lone leader (perhaps because he is on horseback and infantry on foot), but you can overrun him in movement phase?

- idea for doing everything (move, fire and melee) in one phase is very good and makes game more exciting; however, I wish you can fire first and then move too(like a salvo and a retreat or advance into melee), not that movement ends with firing only. This possibilitiy is more realistic&historical, if you ask me..

That must be all, otherwise I just don't like too small map views, 3D maps are almost unusable.

And please don't understand this as critic, just suggestions, I like these games very.
