First, Maj (now Brevet General)David O'Connor has accepted command of The CONTINENTAL ARMY. Congratulations!
LtCol Garry Cope, after a long and very successful tour as the Continental CIC, has accepted the position of SECRETARY OF WAR and I am sure Garry will bring his expertise to the whole club administration. In addition, Garry has assumed the duties as the primary RECORD KEEPER of games, scores and other records.

Lastly, but not leastly. RICH HAMILTON has stepped down as SECRETARY OF WAR to concentrate on "real life" issues, like WORK!, including GAMES! As the SECRETARY OF WAR, Rich always put a lot of effort into whatever task was needed and always gave insightful input to all our discussions on club and game issues. I am sure Rich will continue to do so and will continue to be a very valuable member of the club.

Sorry to see you go, Rich. Thanks for all your hard work in the Cabinet (I recall your meticulous attention to details in setting up the medal program). Hope you find something to fill your spare time!
Garry, I am sure you will be a worthy successor for Rich. All the best for your tenure as Secretary of War! And also all the best for Gen. O'Connor.

Congratulations to David O'Connor. Us Colonial's are in good shape with him at the helm.

A a special thanks to Rich. Most of us (especially in the cabinet) are aware of all your hard work. I wish you well as you concentrate on the matters before you.

Many thanks gentlemen - firstly may I send a message to our outgoing CinC Garry Cope for his sterling work in keeping the homefires burning for the Colonial forces, his ceaseless work and helpful comments have been an inspiration to us all.. hip hip huzzah!! - God bless ya Guv'ner!!

Secondly, I hope that the Colonial army (much invigorated after it's local successes) shall drive the tyrant lobsterbacks from these shores once and for all - I send a call to arms for all able-bodied men to support and join the cause - play a game and recruit someone today!!

Finally, despite all the goings on in the world I hope we band of brothers shall remain steadfast and true to our own ideals and principles - it is indeed an honour to serve you all, and may I wish you all good hunting!

David,

Well if we drive the dastardly Englishmen from our soil we won't have anything to do will we?

Unless....

Maybe, we need a few 'Invasion of England' scenarios ... hehehehe...

Congratulations, sir and the best to you.

Even gentlemen officers of the British persuasion send their congratulations General O'Connor. Bear in mind that it will matter not on the field sir, but on a personal level, a hearty huzzah from the 1st!
