Right then! I can now understand the colonials' confusion regarding promotions in His Majesty's Army. The poor sods delude themselves into thinking that Mater and Pater back home just jolly well pull the purse strings and out pops a commission or promotion. <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle> Or that dear Uncle Farnsworth, a lowly quartermaster in some God forsaken colony, jots a note to Lord Cornwallis and poof....instant promotion.<img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle> Nay, I say that the following promotions were, to use Lt.
