Gentlemen, after two desperate fights, first at Rhode Island and then at Brandywine, the rebellion has been put down and the colonies have returned to loyalty. Cpl. Bud Windham of the US Eastern Department has surrendered his army and offered his sword. It is hereby gladly returned to his rightful owner. Bud has again proven that his lowly rank does not at all indicate his skills in battle. Although the Brandywine battle began with my right division coming up in his right rear with superior force, seizing one 100 objective together with the high ground so that Bud had an uphill fight at hand from the outset, with reinforcements arriving piecemal against an already concentrated British division, he almost broke my line twice and gave me a lot of trouble. Only the superior quality of my brave regulars finally assured the victory of the crown. Gentlemen, raise your glasses! Here's to a gallant opponent and fine fighter - Cpl. Bud Windham.
