Yeah, I know that ... and I recall how I was slaughtered by Maj. Amos at New Orleans, using the alternate PDT. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> <font color=gold>Maj. Walter 4th Regiment "King's Own" AdC, Royal North American Corps of 1812</font id=gold> |

I had thought that the British had more backbone than this. I was sure that there would be a music critic who would take offense at what I put on the clubs jukebox and attempt to show me the "errors of my ways", but since it seems that spine is lacking, let me be blunt. It is my goal to work through the 'famous' battles in both games over the course of time, and while my recent reassignment to the Northern Department would tend to recommend Saratoga as my next field of honor, I don't care to play something quite that big, as Col Sands and Maj Walter have me well tied up at Brandywine and Monmouth respectively, so I thought I'd go for a smaller battle. Surely, one of you can't resist the lure of fabulous New Orleans and it's riches, all the money left behind in the bars and clubs by the good citizens of New England this last weekend. Currently, due to time constraints, I'm able to run about 3-4 turns/week, just to make you aware of that. Sgt. Gary McClellan 12th Light Dragoons - 1st Reg, 2nd Brig, 2nd Div. Northern Department |

Excellent site. It is a very good tune. I have the recording by Johnny Horton with that song and some of the other great ones, like "Sink the Bismark".<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> <b><font color=gold>Ernie Sands Col, 3rd East Kent,CCC President, Colonial Camp Club Col,1 Konig,VIII,AdR BG,CO XXIII Corps AoO Sch,183Inf,VIII,PzC Pvt B Co, 3/3-MBC </b></font id=gold> |

Cpl. McClellan, the only lyric you need keep in mind, and the only true and valid one, is the following: <center><font color=red><b><h2>"We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin."</font id=red></b></h2></center> That govnah, is what we Brrritish are all about. Not some inconsequential swamp land shanty town that we didn't want anyway. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> <center><font color=gold>Brigadier General Sir Phil Natta KB</font id=gold></center><center>(you know the rest)</center><center><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle></center> |

Natty Phil, You forgot the next line.. <b><i><font color=red> There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago </b></i><font color=white> You may wish to ask the Duke of Wellington about the empty chair at the next family reunion... I did not forget that line at'all sir. It only lends credence to the factual legend of the steadfast redcoat soldier. We <u>will</u> advance, you <u>will</u> mow us down, we <u>will</u> step over the unfortunate to advance anew. More mowing, more advancing, till all our objectives are met. Clear cut indeed I say! Can it be any other way sir?? "Wellington.....empty chair"! Bravo and touche' my good man! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> |
