Gents, on another book hunt here (yes, now you know how I spend my time)

Any recommendations on the 30 Years War, in particular Breitenfeld or Lutzen?

Hi Gary,

I wrote a friend about this, and here's what he returned:

Also here are my TYW favorites...all by the same author....by Catherine V. Wedgwood .... all excellent stuff and very readable. If you need I have a great
source for hard to find Military History books that I'd be happy to forward
should you need it.

"The Thirty Years War" (TWY in Continental Europe)

These are all on the English Civil War:

The King's Peace
The King's War
A Coffin for King Charles

Another great book is "The Thirty Years War" by Geoffrey Parker...considered
by many to be the ultimate authority on the topic. Another great, great
book. Easier to find than the Wedgewood and easily available at Amazon.com.

Rich,

Thanks for the suggestions. Thanks to Ernie also for the stuff he had sent me in email. Time to move along in my reading <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>.
