Post subject: | More Recruits for April |
Please join me in welcoming two more recruits for April. Karel Van Gangemen and David Stotsenburgh, both for the British line. With these last, April turned into a good month for recruits. We had seven apply to join the club. Check out the Training page to see the list of April's recruits as well as the roster of recruits who were assigned to an army this month. You may see some familiar names from other clubs. They would all appreciate a challenge or two, I'm sure. (Now may be your best chance to exact a little revenge if you ascribe to that philosophy.) Now that we have taught them how to play, you can teach them a real lesson or two. Larry Davis Major of His Royal Majesty's 64th regiment of Foot on the CCC |

It's true I've joined the Colonials. It's never bad to fight for your rights. I must say my family name is Van Canegem, not Van Gangemen or as some even said "Van Hang him high"<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Pvt Karel Van Canegem 3rd New York Inf 1st Brig/1st Div North Dept/Colonial Army |

Damme for a fool! That's the second major gaff, (or is it three now with the misspelling AND the army in one note?) My most humble apologies to all especially to Karel. Just as the battlefield is a most confusing place governed by the fog of war, it seems that same fog has begun to penetrate this wooden noggin of mine with a similar result. I would attribute it to rum, but I only drink coffee... without the benefit of any additives from Ireland. Methinks it must be the gunpowder. Maybe Sir Phil can send Larry his copy of Hooked on Phonics? hehehe... Not only did it help Sir Phil to learn how to read, it has him writing tree poems! <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Lt. Col. Al Amos 1st U.S. Dragoons 1812-R |
