As seen below, the pairings are out. Looks like there are some interesting match ups. Wonder what the London oddsmakers will say? Lt. Colonel Mike Cox New Jersey Militia (1st Hunterdon Cty) AdC American Army |

I believe the current odds are even that the Colonials will sweep every single battle Lt Gary McClellan 12th Virgina Light Dragoons CO Northern Department |

Any speculation what the payoff on the tri-fecta of Powers, O'Connor, and Hamilton is? Where are Pete Rose and Michael Jordan when you need them? Lt. Colonel Mike Cox New Jersey Militia (1st Hunterdon Cty) AdC American Army |

Lt.McClellan i guess you don't bet much, but even odds means us brits have the same chance of winning every battle. Cpl.David Stotsenburgh Northumberland Regiment of Foot (5th) |

"Any speculation what the payoff on the tri-fecta of Powers, O'Connor, and Hamilton is?" Why did they write the scenario? hehehehe.... JUST KIDDING! Lt. Col. Al Amos 1st U.S. Dragoons 1812-R |

Now, now Dave. You are right, I don't gamble much. If I lost all my cash gambling, how would I feed my wargame habit? But, what I meant is that there is a 50-50 chance that we'll win every single battle!! I'm putting money on the "sweep". The only one I'm worried about is the loser playing you! Lt Gary McClellan 12th Virgina Light Dragoons CO Northern Department |

Then Gary, your even odds were correct. Now let me see... Hmm... Stotsensenburgh... yes.. RNAC...carry the 3... Cpl... times 4...McClellan... Northern Dpt....big bonus there....divide by 4.... Dragoons... Austro-Hingarian links, that hurts.... and... By my calculation, even odds again! Oh well, money where the heart is (against every rule there is!) and 2 pounds sterling on McClellan. (Having recently raided a Royal supply train, I am feeling a bit flush. Always bet with other people's money. A London stockbroker once told me that over Port and Stilton.) Looks like Conlan will be drawing Natta in the tourney. That ought to change plans somewhat. As to the design, that was Sean Coffey and I, which explains why we, along with General Sands, are on the bench for this one. (Though we borrowed heavily from David and Phil's oob from 2001. Only the names and regiments were changed to protect the guilty.) Lt. Colonel Mike Cox New Jersey Militia (1st Hunterdon Cty) AdC American Army Edited by - Mike Cox on 07/02/2002 13:24:51 |

And, what's wrong with Austrian links huh??? I don't suppose Lefebvre's corps was your unit was it Mike? Oh well, back to baiting lobsters, a much more amusing and worthwhile pastime. By the way, did you hear that Georgie III was gonna give an award to the most humble officer in the English Army? He didn't have to give out the title of Lord Paddington-gilsby though, as they couldn't find a single officer with an ounce of humility. I feeling that it is not fair for my opponent to face me alone. Maybe he should look for some friends Maybe I let my sword at home to give him a chance. I'm VERY sorry that I have no chance to blast Gary or Al away ... again. Lt.Colonel Reuter 1. He also finds it handy for the surrender ceremonies, when he needs somthing to hand over to the American officer. Sorry, but you asked. Lt. Just noticed that Stefan's first opponent in the 2000 tourney was none other than... Scotch Willie aka Willaim Rhodes aka Mingoe aka Scott Reed! Lt. Colonel Mike Cox New Jersey Militia (1st Hunterdon Cty) AdC American Army BTW, Inspired by a bout of channel flipping between PBS and HBO I must admit I am Bloody Phil, Sir Natta. In a combination Fight Club/Monty Python Lumberjack schtick, I beat myself up regularly while wearing leopard skin tights and large powdered wigs. Thought you all should know. Edited by - Mike Cox on 07/03/2002 17:46:09 |
