We have a breaking story! We go to Malcom Alberwich with the details. To you Malcome ... "Hello Gordie, yes, we have breaking news from the McClellan-Stotsenburgh tourny game. Yes, the dandy of London, the ever fashionable, the master of checkers, the 8th wigged wonder of the world, Brig. General Phil Natta has been injured! We have a witness" Hysterical Lady: "Oh, it was terrible! There was gen'l Natta, looking dashing in his fine red coat, leading his grenadiers in a charge against the center of the rebel line, when the next thing I knew, the poor gen'l was on the ground!! Oh, it was awful!" Malcom: Yes, here, we have General Natta's wig, notice the huge dent in it, evidently made by a 6 pound cannon ball. Reports say that if he hadn't been wearing the wig, his head would have been taken clean off. As it is, he was escorted from the battlefiled muttering something about the rain in spain falling mostly in Des Moines." --- heh, sorry, once the idea hit me, I just couldn't resist <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Lt Gary McClellan 12th Virgina Light Dragoons CO Northern Department |

Which idea? Shooting Natty with a six pound cannon or reporting it? Both excellent choices! (Phil, I would be sad had it been more serious than a wig wound. Honest Injun!) Lt. Col. Al Amos 1st U.S. Dragoons 1812-R |

Now that is good but I just saw Gen Cope get ill all over his saddle! Go ahead guys - beat that for brutal! Man that was GROSS! ---------------- Likewise Gary - couldnt resist! Bring on the file Glyn! Dont go out of town til we are done son! Hoping to get down and do some serious hip shooting. BAM! BOOM! Those supply wagons of the Brits looked apetizing sitting there but I held off and dug in. Me and Gen. Clark (Anzio-WW2) must have been related. " ... but instead we ended up with a stranded whale." Churchill (did I quote that one right?) Maj. Bill Peters, Morgan's Rifles, American Army Commander of French Dept. |
