Interesting reading. Only had a chance to glance at it (mostly the "between the wars" section).

The interesting thing is how many of his comments/criticisms are right on. There were many problems in that era, and he homes in on them strongly.

On the other hand, it's the old "half empty" or "half full" thing. Yes, there were deep issues (still are for that matter), yet, on the other hand, there were many things that were greatly improved over what had been before, which he doesn't mention.

Interesting and not far off the mark, for the most part. They depicted the British as "British robbers who oppressed America and held her in colonial slavery" and played up the American forces as "barefoot farmers and artisans". Overall, an interesting read.
