Has anyone installed this?

I am not sure what is up with this one. Usually all the files have the same name.

Thanks for help!

From the Scenario Design Center.

I expected the map scn and oob to all have the same name.

That's OK. It's quite common to use existing maps and OOBs for a new scenario. It's not the common name that makes them fit. You can open the .scn file in a text editor and you will see which .map, .oob, and .pdt file it employs.

Hi Paul,

Just drop all the files in the main Campaign 1776 directory and you should be all set to go. The scenario will show up in your selection menu the next time you start the game.

Rich

Okay, I could do that, but the reason I am wary is that the oob is Bloody Tarleton.oob
the scenario is Moores Creek_.scn
but the problem is Princeton.map

That one is already there. How do I know it is not screwing up the original?

Check the file properties. If they are identical, no problem (no need to overwrite then, either).
If you are in doubt, you can always save the original file under a different name, or put it in a new folder (my preferred way of safeguarding; I just call it "old files").

Paul,

Of the four files required to play, oob, pdt, scn and map, map files are teh very hardest to change. Probably the designer put it into the zip to make sure players had all the fiels they need.

Just e-mail Sean Coffey if in doubt, he's the scenario designer of that one. He's also the British CiC here...
