Browsing the tournament page, I see the British have a slight lead. The round two standings are at this point: British Rich White: 357 Glyn Hargreaves: 276 Kenny O'Leary: 245 (Hey didn't I beat the Hargreaves and O'Leary in 2000 & 2001? ) Americans William Glankler: 201 Chris Hopper: 195 Gary McClellan: 110 Congratulations to all so far, especially Rich White of the 28th Regiment of Foot, head and shoulders above the rest. 8 games are still outstanding, so things can change.... Go Colonials! Go Americans! Bring on the Major Victory. My victory was not losing Al Amos in my game. I never would have heard the end of it had that happened! It doesnt matter that Glyn must have American sharpshooters in his army somewhere and killed or wounded most of my officers. The fact that I kept the beloved 1812 officer safe and sound is most important. Maj. Bill Peters, Morgan's Rifles, American Army Commander of French Dept. |

Well, Stefan Reuter and I continue to bang away at each other. The points swing from around -10 to -25, so he has a slight advantage within the draw range. Action is beginning to focus around the water and creek hexes towards the south of the map. I got caught in there with a few units, but managed to escape and now have a few of his units stuck in there. Americans took one artillery piece last turn and could have taken more next turn except for a remarkable series of moves by the British to make continued pursuit of the guns impossible. We are around turn 12 with a promise from each other to hurry up. This one is going to go down to the wire! |
