Oh no Sir!...this isn't a cat-o-nine-tails I'm carrying! It's just a wisk to keep the flies at bay. Now place your hands in the loops please, so that I can measure your back for a fancy new striped uniform Sir. You see with this new uniform you'll be getting, all will be able to tell quite readily that you're a new recruit in service to His Majesty, where discipline and obedience are it's keys to success. Now...I'll only count to ten this time Sir, and you may feel a slight sensation with each count, (mere pinpricks as I make adjustments), which you are to disregard so as not to spoil my measurements. Following the count will be a salt water shower to prepare you for your clean new uniform. This fitting is for your own good Sir, and you'd do well to remember that should I need to re-measure you in the future, that it could indeed take much longer. Are you ready Regular Prete? [}:)]

BTW, Regular Prete is a new recruit in the Hessian Jagers, whose allegiance is to the Crown I might add, and is therefore not used to our ways of war and protocol. I'm sure he'll be glad to notify everyone of such allegiance in the future, am I correct Regular Prete Sir? [;)]
