Morgan stepped into the CT and instantly the air was tense (so what else is new when I show up?). There was a tanner sitting at a table in the corner minding his own business while a man that was the King's Tax Collector was bragging of his having taken taxes from an old women. All this ceased when Morgan entered the room. "What will you have Muurrrgan?" roared the innkeeper. "Two soda pops - one for that pompous fool and one for me." A hush fell over the room. As Morgan was served the two drinks he tossed one of them into the Tax Collector's face. "Aye, mate, that is no way to treat to the King's officer!" "So how should we speak to his Majesties' head tax collector?" "Why with the bowing and the scraping sir!" "Ah, just like back in Dublin eh?" "Why yes, just like back in Dublin!" As if on cue the room exploded into action. The innkeeper (being partly Scottish or Irish noone knew and no friend of the tax collector) lit into a nearby British officer (could it have been that saavy Coffey?) and within seconds bodies were all over the floor (its what you call a Coffey spill)! BRAWL TIME!!!!!! |

Cope, sitting in the corner with his Irish Geese, instantly downed the remainder of his ale (not wanting that any should be spilt!). Then he ordered his Irishmen into the fray saying "We're right behind you boys ... don't let those 'collectors' get away". Then, as they left, he downed each of their ales in turn ... looked in the direction of the fray ... sat down and waived for the bar-maid [8D] |

LT. Malone seeing all the action and feeling the effects of his Irish TEA[;)] Decides he would like to partake in the fun. He sees some of his men there and calls them into the fray. Forgetting his new country for just a moment he yells, "lads lets do it for Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Sturats, the rightful Kings. and for my rish brothers ERIN GO BRAGH!" After this he hits the first Red coated person he sees and disappears into the crowd.[}:)] |

Seeing that the brawl is slowly favoring the rebs, General Natty Phil rises in his upper level spectator box and summons several nearby Guardsmen. "Laddies, we are needed there below. I want no awkward brawling as these rebels seem fond of. Each strike must be performed in an appropriate manner befitting a gentleman learned in the art of fisticuffs...a sharp upper thrust of the fist applied to the opponents chin will suffice. Are ye ready then me boys? Bartholemew, lead the charge if you please, and God save the King!" "YIP-YAP!" Over the railing flies one enraged poodle (frothing at the mouth) followed by a half dozen stalwart men ready for action. Poodle and redcoat alike become engulfed in the swirling seething melee.
![]() |

[:(!] Hardly noticed in the surging crowd (and, at barely 5 feet, below the range of vision of many of the lankier Americans), the cursing, spitting voyageur plies his trusty paddle: Tripping here, knee-cracking there, and the occasional handle-jab into gut or groin. Sacré Jean-foutre, wher' ees zees Colonel A-moss?! I l'arn 'eem to take up an honest challenge een Taverne, 'n den no return my file! Morbleu!! |

The only thing I'll concede is that the railing did feel a bit unstable as I braced myself against it. [:I] ![]() |

Sir Poodle - Absolutely priceless! What a nice movie to add into the brawl! Popcorn is being sold at the counter for a shilling. Our popcorn carries no tax on it! Now back to that movie - (sound of munching on popcorn) - "Hey get off of my lap Hessian! You too Tory!" A glass breaks and Amos is sent sprawling over the counter but he springs right back and cracks Ernie Sands over the head. Cope is seen brawling with two guardsmen and one rabid poodle clinging to his pant leg. Meanwhile, somewhere in the country a boy looks wistfully at the sky and says, "Some day I am going to grow up to be a warden for an animal shelter." |

Colonel A-moss, A mother may have many children. Legitimate, loyal ones in Blighty and north of the St. Lawrence, and misbegotten Hell-spawn elsewhere! |

"Into the brawl stepped Phil K. Powers. His huge stature and commanding presence caused the fighting to die down for a few seconds. Then the cry of "FOOD FIGHT" rang out and all was back to the usual merry atmosphere again!" "A-RUUFFFFF," shouted the poodle. "GRRROOOWWWWLLLL," Amos uttered. "MOOOOO," returned Ernie. |

You know, "Animal House" is one of my all-time favorite movies! Reminds me of my (few)days in college! |
