Well, they aren't quite on the CCC timeline (though I am working through that F/I book right now), a couple of intereting reprints have come out

And, one that's not a reprint, and been out awhile, but I liked alot:

This is an interessting book, a good introduction in the life and time of Prince Eugene.

BTW, $13,97 (from $19,95) for a paperback!!! [xx(] And I thought, books are expensive in Germany.......

Annother fine book on our subject is:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

a good summary of the military in the 18th Century in general, covering all recent topics and all important armies of the periode. I would like to recommend Duffy's books in general.

Gary,

I loved Reed Browning's book on the War of the Austrian Succession. I only wish there had been more numerous and better maps to go along with the fine text. I highly recommend that one to anybody interested in that period.

Gustavus Adolphus: A History of the Art of War from Its Revival After the Middle Ages to the End of the Spanish Succession War. It is a military history from 1618-1815! A huge book, but interesting, once you get into it.[^]
