Guys, I know that this doesnt apply to our club but some might be interested. I called GMT Games today and found out the status of a few items on their P250 program. This program prints up a new batch of a title once 250 orders have come in for a game. An outstanding program to say the least. And they give out information over the phone so you know whether to hunt the game down via an auction or by P250 order from GMT. The following are stats I got on the Great Battles of History series: War Galley - 208 (hey, just 42 more copies to sell!) Caesar: Conqest of Gaul - 287 Great Battles of Alexander Deluxe - 363 SPQR: 2nd Edition - 112 (hoping to see this one grow soon) Caesar: Civil Wars - 6 (too bad - will have to hunt down via auction) I played out one of the battles in Cataphracts - Taginae - the Goths lost of course but I wasnt playing with any of the optional setup. It was a learning game. Very nice system too. I am sure that there are problems with it but noting the return customers that keep ordering the game I figure that it must be a top notch system in other's esteem. Anyway, if you find someone that wants to sell their Caesar: Civil Wars game let me know. Hail Pompei! |
