For those of you that would love to help out but dont know HTML I am going to offer a website that will help you out. Having worked in six clubs online I would like to share my knowledge to the troops on how you can help out your club by being a ADC, division, corps, army or even some day head up your own club! Most of us have the website room and can help you out initially. After you get your web legs so to speak you can be out on your own in no time. Whats more the site will offer help from those of us that have put up pages galore in the past. After you complete your course you will be sent a JPG image of your certificate of completion for reference purposes. 1. Simple pages made simple or how to be a ADC for a CoA or Corps commander. How Excel or other spreadsheet programs can save files as HTML in one easy lesson. 2. Stepping up to command or how to spruce up your webpages - no forms. 3. Taking command and offering forms at the same time without really trying! 4. Getting those pages online - send them to a friend! 5. Getting those pages online - using FTP (it doesnt stand for Free The People!) to a free website server. 6. Maintaining your site and keeping the members happy. 7. Scheduling your time so that your wife or girlfriend doesnt do it for you! 8. Hosting your own site. Hopefully all of the clubs will offer some kind of training program in HTML so that new members can become potential commanders in the future! A URL to the site will be forthcoming. NEW-classes will be limited to 5 students at a time. Dates for classes will be listed on the site. |

Sir, This sounds interesting to me. I currently have a few web pages of my own, but I use Homestead services which basically is like using a Word program. You don't need HTML skills to be able to use it. I would really like to know HTML and have tried to dabble in it a bit with some on-line tutorials and even bought a book on it, but feel I need some more guidance. IO would be very interested in what you are proposing. I be waiting to see any updates and info you have on this. |
