Sirs, I have room for one adversary in a Campaign match of the French and Indian campaign. I can do 2 files a week sometimes more. If interested send a courier. First come first serve.

Sir, I have sent a courier off to your HQ. I guess I can play the French. This war and the changing of armies around has made things a little differnt than usual. As a loyal American, and a Jacobite at heart. I find it would be difficult to play the side of that Fat wannabe German King, who uspered the throne from the true King over the water. Playing the French in this I can imagine myself one of those Brave Wild Geese, the Irish who found a way to continue the fight for freedom. So my pipes are a playing and we are a marching.

As long as the players are from two different club armies, it is counted as a battle. So either of you can be French ... unless one of you just can't stand the French. [;)]

"...that Fat wannabe German King"

I see you've taken a small step toward civilization Mr. Malone. At least this time you capitalized "Fat". [:D]

As you keep repeating that phrase ad nauseam, I think I have to quote what a wise man [;)] said a year ago about it:

"Some day I want to find out what, in this recurrent theme of yours, constitutes the insult. Is it a stain on someone's honor to be fat? Oh Winfield Scott, what fate awaits you in this intolerant society! Or is it dishonorable to be German? General Steuben is turning around in his grave, and all of Pennsylvania and the old Northwest rise against such Irish arrogance! If at least you would revolt against his being King, but all you intend to do is replace him with a different King who has the additional disadvantage of being papist. Oh what has become of the gift of logic and of the art of thought ... they have been lost in the confused minds of the illoyal subjects of the crown!"

BTW just for my historical curiosity, was George II really fat? He looks quite well-built on the pictures I have seen. [8)]

Ok So I forgot the year and it is Georgy II [8] But a fake King is a fake king [;)] He sits on a throne that is not his, and he is no more British than Feberick the Great is. It seems I fight on the side of the French(As I do in the NWC). And as Mr. Conery said in the movie 'The Longest Day' "It yakes an Irishman to play the Pipes" [;)]

Well my good General Walter, we were all once in fighting trim but you have missed a few other portraits:

Now it seems to me that the high collar is holding back a third chin. And whether or not he is portly he was most certainly mad.

Ah, my good Colonel Cox, but this is the successor, George III - his father, who ruled during most of the F&I War, was a great warrior and in perfect shape, the last British monarch to actually lead his armies in the field. [^]

Where we can see that he is at least an ugly mug, as is his father George I:

Either opponent can play the French and either may play the British. In this way, it is still a battle and not a maneuver.

I believe the good lieutenant (as opposed to the Bad Lieutenant) inability to be French is based on personal and moral obejections. (Unlike Harvey Keitel who played both sides of the Mets/Dodgers 88 (?) NLCS series and lost.)
