In my job as an educational professional developer, I often partner with the New-York Historical Society. Today in a meeting, I met a research assistant who is an expert in the Revolutionary War in the New York City Region. He showed me their fantastic website which serves as a companion to a new exhibition that the Society will be displaying soon. I hihgly recommend it for all history buffs ... there's goodies for Loyalists and Patriots alike

You were not kidding. Bookmarked it. If you are interested in the role of NY in the revolution, <u>The Battle for New York</u> by Barnet Schecter was a very good read. He had a website for the book http://www.thebattlefornewyork.com that included a walking tour (well that and a bit of public transportation)of NYC. I was able to do a few legs of it last fall and had a great time. |
