Post subject: The Revolution in New York City

In my job as an educational professional developer, I often partner with the New-York Historical Society. Today in a meeting, I met a research assistant who is an expert in the Revolutionary War in the New York City Region. He showed me their fantastic website which serves as a companion to a new exhibition that the Society will be displaying soon.

I hihgly recommend it for all history buffs ... there's goodies for Loyalists and Patriots alike :-)

You were not kidding. Bookmarked it.

If you are interested in the role of NY in the revolution, The Battle for New York by Barnet Schecter was a very good read. He had a website for the book http://www.thebattlefornewyork.com that included a walking tour (well that and a bit of public transportation)of NYC. I was able to do a few legs of it last fall and had a great time.
