This happens to me time and again - when infantry and cavalry are intermingled on the field, I have problems telling one from the other as the colours of the respective symbols on the 2D icon are so similar - bright yellow for cavalry, brownish yellow for infantry. Hence I have now redone the appropriate bmp file for 1776 and 1812, making infantry bright green in 2D, as it should be anyway. Admittedly, green doesn't look really harmonic on red, but personally I'd place functionality over aesthetics here. [8)] If anyone else with bad eyesight [;)] would like to use this file, it's available here: http://home.arcor.de/dierk_walter/Temp/ ... fantry.zip and goes in the "map" folder of 1776 or 1812. (The one for F&I is different, so don't use it for that.) |
