Welcome sir, it is a shame you chose the side of an evil upstart [}:)] but We do welocme you to the club and a chance to loose against such fine soldiers that make up the American side [:D] My Celts are always at your service to give you a chance to dirty up those shiny and bright uniforms. Please wear the red ones though, they show less blood [;)]

Really Welcome, I know you'll have a great time here, I have yet to meet any one that was not freindly or helpfull no matter what side they are on.

"Anither example of how the British forces are best represented by those who are nae English."

Mr. Hipkins my good fellow. IF my manservant translates this statement to the King's English correctly, what you are saying old boy is that Britian is best served by non-Britons, eh whot? [:0] IF this is indeed your assessment, then let us each consume a score of deep draughts of scotch, [|)] then step out to the back of the tavern for a gentlmanly test of strength and stamina to determine who stands last, [B)] and who is judged best to serve His Lordship and England, which would also include your native land Sir, may I add. All followed by a hearty handshake of course. [:D] I'll keep the poodle chained, as if he saw a blow landed upon my person he'd be prone to a severe fit of beligerance, or possibly a fit of doggie giggling, I'm not quite sure. [:)]

I already know that you've spent your pay on wenches, cockfights, and rye, [8] so you needn't ask for the usual loan for the scotch, as the bets that shall be placed and won will substantially fill my purse, and I shall cover your bar and medical bills in advance. What say ye laddie? [:o)]

And welcome Herr Winsdor. (my, that does sound odd!) I'm sure that Lt. Counselman will see that you are well taken care of Sir. [8D]

Welcome Mr. Windsor Sir to the British army. The Hessians are a fine bunch - we lads in the Centre Column usually send them ahead of us across the open ground of the battlefield towards the enemy, while we relax in the rear like gentlemen with our afternoon tea. I'm sure you will find it to be great sport!
Looks like Hipkins is sharpening his claymore over there, and I'm not at all sure Gen. Natta's chain will hold that doggie of his, so be a good fellow, get the next round in, and we'll get ourselves two good seats in the front row outside the tavern to watch the fun...... [B)]

Poor Natty one,
Ye'll have yer fun
In words but no' in fight,
For Scotland's best
Shall from ye wrest
The laurels of this night.

For Albion's brats
Are gormless sprats
While Scotland's sons are MEN
Of stalwart mien
An' courage keen
Tae chase ye haim again.

Remember Bannockburn! Have at ye!

(A brawl ensues. Last chance to lay your bets, gentlemen.)

Gentlemen, I will not have it ... British officers fighting each other! [:0] Will you please go out and whip the Rebels, Injuns, or Frogs, at your discretion? There's enough for all of you ... [}:)]

T'would have only been a friendly bout, a brief flurry of scotch influenced fisticuffs where we miss every blow and collapse exhausted and unharmed within a minute. [|)] When did a good old fashioned harmless pugilistic display between Scotsman and Englishman go out of style?[?]?

OK then but please take note that the only acceptable weapons are sabres at 50 paces, 6-pounders from horseback at full gallop, tug-of-war between two frigates, and the wrestling of opposing picket lines before dawn. [8D]

Here's ma hand in friendship, Natta me boy. If Daddy hadnae broke it up who kens how the fight would ha' gone? Ah do like DW's preferred weapons, though. Canny gillie, him. Fer you and me tae settle things Ah was gauntae suggest Pillows over ye Tubb of Water whilst Seated 'pon ye Greased Pole. First one intae the wet loses. Ach, but, the pity is now we'll nivir know who won. And for those who placed wagers wi' McAuslan - sorry, gentlemen, but the money cannae be returned. The contest was forestalled by Act of God, (or DW, actually), no lo contendere, force majeur and all that. No' ma fault.

MY courier people will be meeting with your courier people at my HQ, with a message to meet on the field at Detroit. If this is in agreement, we would like to storm the fort by force cold steel if you like with he odd musket added in...oh yes and don't forget the Indians...please don't pull a Hull on us [;)]. Otherwise if you do not like this choice, please feel to pick a time and place (scenario) of your liking.
