Never mind, all is well.

I cannot send attached files over 50KB eg Brandywine. Anyone ever experience this problem? My DSL has made some changes, but whenever I try to use "Support", they take days to answer.... Better yet, can anyone suggest some reliable DSLs?

Don't they do that on purpose so they can sell you additional capacity for an exorbitant price???

Sir,

Just from my own experience I would go with a cable modem over dsl anyday. In my area I get a 256k connection for twenty bucks a month because I have basic cable with my cable company. A 128k dsl connection in the same area is going for 60.00 a month. In addition the dial-up companies in the area are charging 20.00 a month for their services. I have had no problem at all sending very large files (2MB plus) via my ISP provider. They may be the exception though as my experience is rather limited to my locality.

Perhaps you should consider talking to your local cable provider? Just a thought :-)

I pay $45.00 a month (which includes the cable modem rental), but it is worth that and much more. I've hit 450k - 500k from time to time on the download of files, and get about 35k to 50k on the upload to my web server. Right now, there isn't anything out there that can touch it, for the price. Sending is no issue either, as I think they have a 5 MB limit.

My DSL connections (both home and office) blow those cable connections away (1260k) and I send and receive attachements (for business mostly) in excess of 8Meg all the time (art files and large databases). I know this is not a ****ing contest, but just couldn't resist [8D]

My ISP is SBC-GLOBAL (w/Yahoo) and they are pretty good on support too. You might want to look into them Larry.

Now, I do pay more then the cable guys (49.00 per MO) but I have never gotten bogged down either. [:)]

My Bad. I have found that the "problem" has been since I upgraded an anti virus program back in October. This was the first file over 50 kb since then. When one part of the anti-virus program is disabled, all size files can get through. Thanks for everyone's advice. [:I]
