Please allow me to fill in a few holes in your high school report Mr. Prete. [:I] Odd how these glaringly important details have been left out eh govnuh? [:p] <i>"On September 11, 1777, Howe <b>defeated</b> General Washington at the Battle of Brandywine Creek, Pennsylvania. Howe then <b>occupied</b> Philadelphia as the Continental Congress <b>fled</b> the city. At the Battle of Germantown, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1777, Washington <b>nearly</b> had Howe beat, but the British managed to <b>rally</b> and <b>win</b> the day."</i> |

All true. We should also point out that while General Howe was in Philadelphia "socializing" with a lady friend and having a grand old time, General Burgoyne was getting his fanny whooped at Saratoga. Good show General Howe! While I am on the subject of fanny whooping, would your lordship be up for a fight in 1776?[:D] |

Right! A jolly good show General Howe! A gentleman officer, especially after a sucessful campaign followed by the occupation of a major enemy city, deserves a bit of ahhhh, "socializing" and is indeed very nearly obligated to do so. [8D] General Burgoyne was aware of this tradition. I'm a bit over-extended at the moment, but your parry warrants attention and I would be honoured to have the chance to do my share of socializing after our engagement Sir. Please courier your proposals. |

Just remember one thing my over boiled lobster back friends: Your one great discovery was how to cure constipation, and the cure was: Have a picture of General Washington in the outhouse because when ever a British Gerneral or polical leader saw him (Washington) it made him CRAP in Fear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![;)] |
